Website Aims to Connect People with New Employers

A Drexel Hill couple launched a Web site that incorporates the elements that have made social networking sites popular but maintains a business-like atmosphere.
Thejobface.com is found on the Internet at www.thejobface.com. The site lists job postings, offers advice on punching up a resume and has blogs where the community exchanges information and advice. There is no fee to become a member.
"Whereas facebook is more a social networking site there's a different mindset behind our site," founder A. Buscemi said in a recent interview. "We have college students who use the site to keep in touch with one another once they go out into the work force. The jobface puts somebody, a young male or female, in a very positive light."
Since its April 1 launch date the site has grown to getting thousands of views per month. "We had a 250 to 300 percent increase in views to our site in May," A. Buscemi said.

JobSearch Feature Launched!
The JOBFACE is pleased to announce that a JobSearch feature has been implemented for registered users. To access the new feature you will have to sign in. From there you will see a Search Jobs box. You can choose a keyword and type in your location to see a list of relevant jobs available in your area. There are over 500,000 jobs available to search from on average daily.
The JobFace Job Listings has also been officially launched. We are busy attracting prospective employers to post their job offers. You will be able to apply for jobs from right within the JobFace as a registered user as prospective jobs come in.
Both of these features further enhance the job networking community and much more is still to come. Please remember to use the Invite a Friend feature available on your My JobFace user menu to help grow our community. The more members that become active will increase our communities' ability to help each other during their job search.
